A year travelling through the East, drawing, writing, visiting remote excavations and religious sites, C. Morey de Morand arrived in London at the end of 1975, where she has been resident as a professional artist ever since, accepting commissions, winning awards and exhibiting both in London and world-wide.
She has been a resident guest artist in Ahmedabad, India with John Baldessari , in New York State with Clement Greenberg, Anthony Caro, Helen Frankenthaler, as well as other residencies in Canada, Russia, Turkey and Bulgaria.
With exhibitions in eighteen countries, including thirty-six solo exhibitions, C. Morey de Morand's work has been consistently abstract: the expressive elements evolving into minimalist, grid constructivist influences. The flowing focus is always to do with light, colour, layering.
